Action for Children in Conflict - Volunteers required for programmes in Africa.
Adventureworks - Gap Year programme to Tanzania.
Africa Calling - Volunteer working projects in South Africa. Programmes include the rehabilitation and breeding of South Africa's eagles and other birds of prey, working on a "Big 5" game reserve and a community development project in Zululand.
African Conservation Experience - Varied voluntary work on game reserves in southern Africa. Your tasks may include game capture, wildlife veterinary work and alien plant control.
African Conservation Trust - Conservation projects in Africa.
African-Experience - Promotes voluntary wildlife opportunities for those wanting to have hands on experience with African wildlife.

ATD Fourth World - ATD Fourth World works with people living in extreme poverty in 27 different countries across five continents.
Azafady - Operate Pioneer Madagascar, a ten week volunteer programme.
Blue Dog Adventures - Provide voluntary work opportunities, adventure internships and equestrian experiences around the world such as learn to lead horseback safaris in South Africa.
Blue Ventures - An award winning UK based not for profit organisation dedicated to facilitating projects that enhance global coral reef conservation and research. Since its creation Blue Ventures has co-ordinated marine projects in Madagascar, Tanzania, South Africa and the Comoros Islands. The successes of Blue Ventures research programmes have always depended on the dedication and enthusiasm of their volunteers. Volunteers from all over the world and from all walks of life work with them both above and below the water, and are responsible for a range of tasks, from carrying out field research to managing the day-to-day running of field camps.
Cultural Embrace - Arranges opportunities to work, volunteer, teach English, study, internships and travel abroad. Discounted and free travel available.
Enkosini Eco Experience - Wildlife Volunteer Placements in Africa. Enkosini Eco Experience offers volunteer placements at some of South Africa' s leading wildlife conservation, rehabilitation and research projects. With 2 to 12 week placements, volunteers work with African lions, elephants, primates, dolphins, sharks, whales, penguins and much more on a wide array of award winning projects.
The Farm Backpackers -A South African company which runs a cultural exchange program aimed at people who wish to stay for a decent amount of time and truly experience the South African way of life, but don’t have the budget to do it independently. The Farm Backpackers is a tourism based operation which includes backpacker accommodation, an adventure centre and a farm restaurant offering open air, bush style meals. The work is intended to be flexible and give plenty of time off for exploring the local area. Fees run at around 200 Euro per month but accepted candidates will receive all accommodation and meals for free and will be taught a wide range of things from how to run a tourism based business, guiding hikes and day trips, to bush cooking and recreational farming.
Frontier - Volunteer opportunities on tropical conservation projects in East Africa and the Far East. Volunteers carry out vital conservation and research work on coral reef, rainforest, and savanna ecosystems alongside expert scientists, local students, and villagers. Full training given, leading to a BTEC qualification.
GAP Activity Projects - Sends 1,300 people from the UK to over 30 countries each year. They can also find placements in the UK for volunteers from overseas.
Ghana Network of Voluntary Service - Are looking for volunteer teachers who will help teach basic subjects at nursery, primary and secondary schools for a short time.
Global Citizens Network - This Minnesota-based non-profit organisation, arranges short term cross-cultural volunteer expeditions to Kenya where projects could include building a health clinic or teaching in a school.  Program costs range from $600-$1650U.S.; airfare is additional. No special skills are required, only a willingness to experience new cultures and an adventurous spirit. 
Global Vision International - A UK based organisation which sources volunteers to international charities, non-profits and research organisations. Since 1998 they have sent over 600 Volunteers on international internships, conservation expeditions and teaching placements. In addition to placing Volunteers they also provide funding for research equipment, professional staffing and training. At the time of writing GVI have projects from Nepal to Ecuador and South Africa to Alaska. These vary from internships with leading environmental non profits to field research positions in the Amazon and The Kruger National Park. Projects range from 3 weeks to a year, and are well suited to all ages and backgrounds. All programmes are carefully selected and their international and domestic partners include the South Africa National Parks Board, Rainforest Concern and the Endangered Wildlife Trust.
Global Volunteer Network - A non profit organisation. GVN place people in community projects in China, Ecuador, Ghana, Nepal and Romania. Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational and community aid programs. Volunteers can be involved in areas such as teaching English, environmental work, health and sanitation, and cultural home stays.
Inter-Cultural Youth Exchange (ICYE-UK) - ICYE-UK offers 18-30 year olds 6 or 12 months voluntary work overseas. Projects include working with streetchildren, disabled, NGO's, HIV education, health, environmental work.
i to i International Projects Ltd - Numerous and varied programmes in over 20 countires around the world.
The Leap - Voluntary placements living and working in eco-tourism, conservation and community projects for three months in Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana. South Africa and Namibia. Volunteers are paid an allowance of around £40 per month but need to raise the fee to cover the placement costs.
Madventurer - Set up by Newcastle University graduate, John Lawler, aka "Torgbui Mottey 1, Chief of the Shia Traditional Area" in Ghana, Madventurers is a continuation of the voluntary work undertaken during his gap year. A combination of community project and adventurous tourism, these award winning 'development adventure' expeditions can take you to Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda.
Operation Crossroads Africa - Over 40 years experience of sending volunteers to Africa.
Predator Conservation Project - Invites long or short term volunteers to help with their mission to assist the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) achieve its conservation goals in the Great Lake Mburo Ecosystem. Volunteers will, among other things, promote large predator research and monitoring, help and rescue the wildlife orphans and victims of poaching and reintroduce critically endangered species into their natural habitats.
Project Trust - Spend a year volunteering in one of 24 developing nations.
Quest Overseas - Gap year expeditions.
Raleigh International - Volunteers aged 19 to 25 accepted on 10 week expeditions. Raleigh also employ volunteer staff, aged over 25, with various skills to aid the expedition leader.
ReefDoctor - A small not-for-profit organisation which undertakes coral reef research and conservation in south west Madagascar. Reefdoctor are looking to welcome a small team of volunteer research assistants into the camp, preferably with some previous conservation experience. They also would prefer volunteers to be trained divers to at least PADI Open Water level. ReefDoctor expect to need up to eight voluntary assistants on future expeditions - a staff to volunteer ratio of one to one.
SENEVOLU - Voluntary work with an organisation that promotes community tourism in Senegal.
Service Civil International - Organizes workcamp placements through a network of worldwide partner organizations.
Students Partnership Worldwide - Recruit over 500 people aged between 18 and 25 from the developing and developed worlds to work in Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
Sudan Voluntary Programme - Volunteers, under-graduates and graduates who are native English speakers, are needed to teach English on projects in Sudan for 12 weeks or more. 
SVG - A young Ghanaian NGO accepting volunteers from abroad to contribute to Ghana's development processes through their volunteering programmes in education, health and environment sectors. Volunteers face cultural challenges and learn different ways of seeing the world and its people.
Teaching Abroad - Voluntary TEFL placements to Ghana and South Africa.
Trekforce Expeditions - Trekforce projects concentrate on the endangered rainforests and wildlife of Kenya.
United Nations Exchange - Over 1000 projects in Europe and North America as well as a more specialised programme of projects in more than 20 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
VOLU  - Volu, a NGO specialised in the organisation of workcamps in Ghana, accept volunteers for three weeks from all over the world and have two camp seasons: summer and winter.
Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) - Skilled volunteers recruited to work in the developing world earning local wages.
Volunteer Africa - Provides details on British organizations that give young people the opportunity to spend time on a voluntary project in Africa.
Wild at Heart Youth Adventures - Volunteer wildlife programmes available in South Africa, Botswana and Namibia.
Youth International - An experiential education program which focuses upon international travel and inter-cultural exchange, adventure, community service and home stays. Youth International, based in Denver, USA, offers two separate trips. One travels to Asia (including the Philippines, Thailand, India and Nepal). The second travels to Africa (including Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, and Namibia). Both trips are offered twice a year.
