Employment

Employers, Agencies & Placement Services 
Alliance Abroad - Spend a minimum of one semester teaching English at a Chinese university. A Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate are helpful but not required. Teach in China programme participants receive approx 4000 RMB per month plus free accommodation in jobs throughout China. You must be a native English speaker.
American Educational Services - An American managed organization of schools. Not a recruiting agency, AES have been managing schools in China since 1996. Current AES schools are in Dalian, Shenyang, Jinan, Qingdao, Xi'An, ChangChun, Tangshan, Guiyang, and DanDong.
American International Education Foundation - A non profit organization, dedicated to promoting American education abroad. The English Teacher Placement program is coordinated between in California and places teachers in accredited schools in China.

Appalachians Abroad Teach in China - The Appalachians Abroad Teach in China Program (AATC) is an exciting opportunity for qualified individuals to teach or study in China. Founded in 1995, AATC is a non profit program designed to build educational and business relationships between the Appalachian region and China. The program is a part of the Center for International Programs at Marshall University, in Huntington, West Virginia. Though focused on the Appalachia region, the program is open to individuals from all across the U.S. and Canada who have the qualifications and desire to be a teacher and "goodwill ambassador".

Arcadia International Cultural Exchange  - Sends English teachers to China to teach 5-18 year olds.
Asia System Media - Teaching English in China.
BENZHI - Provides EFL / ESL teaching job opportunities through independent employers in China, Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan. In addition, they provide useful resources, forums, articles, and advice to assist teachers in obtaining the perfect EFL / ESL related job in Asia.
Buckland International Education - Recent graduates, undergrads and retirees recruited for English teaching in China.
Colarado China Council - Founded in 1977, the Colorado China Council (CCC) is a non-political, educational outreach organization dedicated to developing programs to deepen the American public's understanding and appreciation of China's history, culture and contemporary life. Colorado China Council does this by sending people to China for either a month in the summer, or a semester or a full year to teach English at Chinese universities. As teachers they will also share American history and culture with their Chinese students.
Council Exchanges - CIEE will place you as an English speaking teacher in a Chinese school for 5 or 10 months, whichever you prefer. You will be paid a local salary, receive free furnished accommodations and most utilities will be provided by your host institution.
Delter Business Institute - A joint venture ESL and business school. Campuses in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Wuhan and other cities across China.
Elite ESL Teaching in China - Teach in China for a salary, accommodation, and additional benefits. No Fees, free training and orientation and they acquire work visas for teachers.
ESLme.com - Offer an agent service for those looking to teach in China.
Panda Steps - Professional Assistance to teachers seeking entry into China. A free service to all applicants that includes English and Chinese support.
SH Human Resource - A human resource company recruiting for various schools English language schools in China.
Sinoculture - Sinoculture has opportunities to teach English in schools and universities throughout China. The positions are salaried, accommodation is provided and the teacher's airfares are refunded. Teachers typically work for 15-20 hours per week, and are required to work for at least six months.
TDM - . Looking for ESL teachers to fill vacancies from September in Wuhan, China.
WorldLink Education - Teach in China or study subjects such as a variety of martial arts under the instruction of teachers who were Chinese National Champions.

TEFLChina Teahouse - Insights from Teachers of English as a Foreign Language in China. Subscribe to the TEFLChina email lists discussing teaching English in China with 800+ Chinese and expatriate English teachers in China, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and abroad. The TEFLChina Teahouse is a volunteer network for all English teachers in China.

Gap Year & Voluntary Work
Unpaid Positions & Adventure
Cultural Revolution.co.uk - Provide four month self funded (around £400) gap year placements in a primary school in Guang Zhou, southern China. Participants work with youngsters in the school to help them improve their English speaking and listening skills. Accommodation is free. Gappers live with a professional Chinese family on campus, who provide all meals and some visits to local places of interest. Working visas and work permits are arranged by the host school in China. Though a small amount of pocket money may be available, participants must find their own air fares and travel insurance and should be aged over 18 years of age.
Global Volunteer Network - A non profit organisation. GVN place people in community projects in China, Ecuador, Ghana, Nepal and Romania. Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational and community aid programs. Volunteers can be involved in areas such as teaching English, environmental work, health and sanitation, and cultural home stays.
Metizo - A personal development company operating in China, Europe and the US. Metizo offers gap year students the opportunity to spend a year in Beijing.
Project Trust - Spend a year volunteering in one of 24 developing nations including China.
