The Year Out Group - An association of leading year out organisations offers information and guidance for young people and their parents and advisers.
Work Experience USA - Work America programme from Camp Counselors USA providing work visa, flights and support to university students.

AIESEC - Large student organisation with a network in over 90 countries. The AIESEC Work Abroad Programme is open to university students and recent graduates with a business, marketing, accounting, finance, IT, engineering or language studies background. They can offer practical work experience in a diverse cultural environment.

Alliance Abroad Group - Provide many and varied opportunities for arranging shorter term jobs, internships, and teaching positions for all nationalities in several countries.
American Youth Foundation - Three internship schemes.
The Association for International Practical Training - AIPT offers on-the-job training and internships (J-1 visa) in the U.S.A. AIPT accepts any nationality, as long as the U.S. has diplomatic relations with the country.
BUNAC Work Programmes
Opportunities for students to travel and work in various countries, such as Australia, Jamaica, USA and Canada.
Challenge Educational Services - Work experience in America for graduates and under graduates aged 19 to 26, plus a wide range of French Language programmes based in France.  These vary from Academic Year/Semester programmes at the Sorbonne, to A Level revision courses in Bordeaux. They also offer Adult and under 18 programmes.
Council Exchanges - Work and travel in USA, Canada and Australia.
Cultural Cube - A variety of programmes for young people. These include working in the USA and the UK, cultural exchanges, au pair work, homestays and voluntary work. 
Cultural Embrace - Arranges opportunities to work, volunteer, teach English, study, internships and travel abroad. Discounted and free travel available.
EEOP - Live and learn in England, Europe and America. 
EF Education - TEFL and other language related year outs.
Enfield College - Work placements in Europe financially supported by the EU's Leonardo da Vinci Fund. Grants available.
English Speaking Union - The ESU operate Capitol Hill Scholarships, allowing undergraduates to undertake placements in the offices of members of the US Congress. Past interns have worked for Teddy Kennedy and on the President's re-election campaign.
Euro Practice - Internships, language courses, work and study programmes and au pair positions for European students. Offices in France, England, Germany and Spain. 
Gwendalyne - Whether you want to spend some time fruit picking in Queensland, volunteering in a park in South Africa, having an Internship in Rio de Janeiro, or waiting at a table in Barcelona, Gwendalyne have a vast range of programmes for you.
IAESTE UK - Enginering and industrial placements. The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience arranges on the job training for science and engineering university students. Administered in the UK by the British Council, IAESTE is part of an international association of over 80 member countries. Since its foundation in 1948 IAESTE has exchanged close to 300,000 students worldwide.
Institute for Experimental Learning - Is looking for bright, talented US college students willing to be challenged and able to take on an academic internship in the nation's capital.
Institute of International Education - Administers over 250 programmes.
InterExchange - Offers Americans the chance to work in Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Spain, Switzerland.
International Educational Opportunity Programmes - Similar, a sister site in fact, to EEOP.
International Student Exchange Center - ISEC offers a variety of work experience abroad for students and adults in places as diverse as Siberia and Brazil. Citizens from the former Soviet Union can find study and work experience in the UK and Ireland. Also ski work in the USA.
Inter Sejours - Au pairs, work placements and voluntary work in Guatemala and Ecuador. Site is in French.
i to i International Projects Ltd - Numerous and varied programmes in over 20 countires around the world including paid TEFL work placements to Korea. Degree required.
LEAPNow - Internships, voluntary positions and work programs. Some programs are only open to United States and Canadian citizens living west of the Mississippi.
The Mountbatten Internship Programme - A not-for-profit organisation that gives graduates and young professionals the opportunity to gain practical and theoretical experience through participation and training in the operation of business in the USA or UK. 
National Internships - Internships across America.
Nike - Ten week intern programme.
Pinpoint Training - AIPT's online placement service for both US and international applicants. 
The Smallpeice Trust.- The Smallpeice Trust's Engineering Careers Foundation Year (ECFY) is available to students who have a deferred engineering-related degree at university, and comprises three months academic study at university in the UK; one month language tuition at a specialist language school in Europe; 3 months European work placement. Cost to the student is just £25 per week as a contribution towards accommodation and subsistence. Further details can be found by following the courses link on the website.
Trident Transnational - Arranges internships for students and graduates from the EEA and USA. In exchange for a fee of between £140 and £420 they will send CVs around relevant companies on behalf of people who want to work for between four weeks and six months. Occasionally, they also help non-European students to be placed and to obtain a TWES permit.
Work Experience USA - Work America programme from Camp Counselors USA providing work visa, flights and support to university students.
Working Holidays - Jobs available all the year round in Germany. Enjoy life in the country, on farms or in country hotels, living with the family, looking after children and/or horses, farm animals. The project Happy Hands is suitable for gap year students from England, and all students from EU countries wishing to perfect their knowledge of the German language and help the families.
