Citizens Network - This Minnesota-based non-profit
organisation, provides 1, 2 and 3 week cross-cultural volunteer
expeditions to Guatemala, Nepal, Kenya and in the U.S.,
New Mexico, Arizona and South Dakota, where volunteers work
on various Native American Indian reservations. Projects
could include building a health clinic, renovating a youth
center, assisting with a summer day camp or teaching in
a school. Program costs range from $600-$1650U.S.;
airfare is additional. No special skills are required, only
a willingness to experience new cultures and an adventurous
spirit. |

programs are only open to United States and Canadian citizens
living west of the Mississippi. |

Leap - Voluntary placements living and working in

Ape Challenge, involves raising a minimum of £2750
for a close up view of the Oranutan home in Tanjung Puting
