Equity are one of the UK's leading independent tour operators, specialising in group travel for adults and schools. Each season, they employ around 160 people to work in hotels and ski resorts throughout Europe for the end of October to the end of April.
RESORTS:
- France: La Plagne, Le Corbier, Les Arcs, Montgenevre, Pra Loup, Serre Chevalier, Les Gets, Les Orres
- Austria: Mayrhofen, Saalbach, Schladming, St Michael
- Switzerland: Les Diablerets
- Italy: Andalo, Bormio, Canazei/Superski Dolomiti, Claviere, Folgarida, Livigno, Madonna di Campliglio, Monte Campione, Prato Nevoso, Folgaria, Artesina, Sestriere, Tonale, Siusi
JOBS:
- Hotel Manager - 25 years+
- Resort Representative - 21+
- Ski Companion - 21+
- Chalet Hosts - 21+
- Assistant Hotel / Duty Manager - 21+
- Waiting / Housekeeping Staff
- Bar - 20+
- Head Chef & Sous Chef - 21+
- Kitchen Porter / Nightporter
- Maintenance Person
- Other positions 18+ years of age.
Start dates vary slightly according to job roles. Hotel Managers usually start at the end of October, Assistant / Duty Managers and Chefs around mid-November, Hotel Staff towards the end of November and Resort Reps, Ski Companions and Chalet Staff, early December to mid to end of April.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Enthusiasm is a must, as is being keen and ready to work hard to give Equity's clients a great holiday.
A UK Bank Account and National Insurance Number (permanent or temporary) are essential. There are very few exceptions when they take on an employee who doesn't hold a UK passport. These circumstances are usually only if you are applying with a partner who holds a UK passport or if you are an excellent chef.
PACKAGE:
Whilst working with Equity they will provide:
- A monthly salary paid into a UK bank account (salaries given at interview)
- Accommodation and Board in hotel/chalet or nearby apartment
- Full medical insurance
- Travel to and from resort
- A thorough training course at the start of the season
- An Equity uniform
- A full day off each week
- Hotel staff will receive a monthly drinks allowance at the hotel bar
- Reps, ski companions and chalet staff keep 100% of their commission on sales in resort
- A special tax dispensation which means you pay little or no tax on your wages
- An end of season performance related bonus
- Your family and friends will receive a 10% discount on an Equity holiday.
Equity also state they do not charge any bond, deposit or other fee for any part of your package.
