Meriski claim to be the Méribel experts and have 20 years experience in the resort. They employ over 40 resort staff and have one of the highest ratios of staff to guests in the business.
The season runs from the beginning of December through until the end of April. Staff should be available for the whole of this period.
The first guests arrive on the 12th December, and prior to this staff are given full in resort training and resort familiarisation. During peak weeks they also recruit additional Nannies and Chalet Hosts.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Chalet Host:
Each Meriski chalet has two Chalet Hosts who are jointly responsible for running a luxury chalet, including cooking, cleaning and hosting their guests. Applicants can be individuals or couples and should:
- Either have extensive cooking experience, being able to cater to an extremely high standard for approximately 12 people; or
- Have relevant hospitality experience
- Possess good organisational skills and the ability to work within and manage a budget
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and high standards in customer service
- Have an unflappable nature and an extremely flexible approach to their work
Nanny
Meriski offers a range of childcare services for ages three months to 12 years, including fully equipped Merikids club for seven to 12 year olds, and a private in-chalet nanny service. Applicants should:
- Have an NNEB or equivalent qualification
- Have relevant childcare experience
- Offer a varied activity programme with a 'can do' approach
- Be as comfortable with interacting with parents as with children.
- Have an unflappable nature and be able to work well as part of the childcare team
All applicants should have a full EU passport and permanent UK NI number and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and fit the age requirements for the position you are applying for.
PACKAGE:
Along with the opportunity to spend five months in the Alps, Meriski offer:
- Monthly salary paid into UK bank account, subject to UK Tax and NI
- Shared accommodation (normally two people per room)
- Meals provided
- Ski equipment provided for the season
- Return travel from resort
- Lift pass
- Uniform
FURTHER INFORMATION:
The winter recruitment process runs from the end of May, and they envisage being fully recruited by the end of October. However, Meriski still encourage applications throughout the year and say that "the volume of applicants for winter ski employment is particularly high and the environment is extremely competitive."
