Ski Resort Employers in the Alps:
Neilson Ski
Neilson is dedicated to providing active holidays in the winter with ski & snowboard programmes and have over two decades of experience in operating active holidays worldwide. They offer customers accommodation in hotels, chalets and Neilson run hotels, self-catering studios and apartments.

The ski season runs from mid/end November through to mid April and they employ people for:

  • Full season - 95% of staff are employed for the full season
  • Part season - a number of people are employed to start in January and February to work until mid April.

  • France: Chamonix, Courchevel, Meribel & Mottaret, Tignes, Avoriaz, Valmorel, La Plagne, Val Thorens, Flaine, La Tania, Les Arcs, Serre Chevalier, Alpe d'Huez, Les Deux Alpes, Val d'Isere, Montgenevre, Les Menuires

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:

All Neilson staff, whatever their role, will come into contact with guests and other staff, therefore all applicants should possess extremely good interpersonal skills.

You will need to be warm, enthusiastic and approachable for guests to always feel that they can come to you, confident that you will ensure all aspects of their holiday run smoothly.

With Neilson, you will be expected to be passionate about the range of activities you are involved in - they are looking for individuals who demonstrate a desire to get involved, further their skills, and share their enthusiasm and expertise with their customers.

Working in overseas resorts is very hard work. Hours can be long, both during the day and at night, and no two days are the same so you will need stamina to ensure you succeed.

Jobs are offered first to those who have already completed a successful season with Neilson.

It is essential that you are an EU passport holder and have a permanent National Insurance Number. Applicants without these cannot be considered.

PACKAGE:

Along with salary, Neilson offer all of the following:

  • Bonus - if a satisfactory season is completed a completion of contract bonus is payable to all employees.
  • Training - a residential training course is provided for all employees prior to the start of the season.
  • Holiday - all employees are entitled to leave in addition to their day off per week. For summer employees this would include a paid week off during the season (for employees with sufficient entitlement).
  • Accommodation - provided, often with two people sharing a room. Managers occupy a single room. Cooking facilities and showers may also be shared.
  • Travel - from the UK to your overseas resort and back at the end of your contract. They also contribute to travel expenses to your UK departure airport.
  • Insurance - Company insurance looks after any emergency medical and emergency dental expenses along with personal belongings cover.
  • Uniform - a company uniform is provided which is expected to be worn at designated times.
  • Activities - for ski season staff we will provide a local lift pass for your local ski area and ski and boot hire will be provided for the season.

As Neilson is part of the Thomas Cook Group, all Neilson staff may also be considered for a position within Thomas Cook Tour Operations for a variety of summer jobs including working as a Holiday Representative, within Children's Clubs or in overseas resort offices.
