HILT is a charitable organisation that aims to help adults with a learning disability to live in the community as independently as possible.

Work or Activities
We are looking for residential/live-in volunteers to work with people who have learning difficulties.

We need volunteers who can:
- live in shared housing with HILT's service users, including spending at least 5 nights per week sleeping at the shared house
- work up to 35 hours per week covering a variety of shifts
- support service users in different ways, such as with cooking or social and leisure activities (e.g. going to the cinema, playing sport or visit friends)
- be available for 4-12 months
- work well with people
- speak reasonable conversational English

Volunteers must be 18 or older

We offer:
- accommodation and bills included
- weekly allowance to cover costs of food and travel card
- induction, support and regular supervision
- ongoing training

Wages
Provide shared accommodation and a weekly allowance to cover basic living costs and travel.
