American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee
A Jewish humanitarian assistance organisation that provides assistance to Turkish Jews. As part of the year long Jewish Service Corps volunteers will work to promote Jewish identity and community development by organising and guiding others in Jewish educational, cultural, social, and religious programmes. Volunteers should ne mature self starters with a strong Jewish background. In return JDC provides round trip travel expenses, housing, health insurance, a monthly stipend for basic living expenses, and a small end of year bonus. Volunteers participate in an orientation programme in New York in June and in a mid year seminar overseas in January.

Teach conversational English in Turkey. An American organisation, teachers must have state certification or have successfully taught in a private school or college. Teaching assistants may include educated adults, student teachers and college students.

Conservation Volunteers Australia
Gallipoli has an emotional resonance for Australians and Kiwis and this is an opportunity to not only visit and pay their respects but to also make a contribution. Volunteers, who need not be from Australia and New Zealand, will assist with site preparation and crowd management, are involved with the Dawn Service near Anzac Cove, the Australian service at Lone Pine and the New Zealand service at Chunuk Bair.

EKAD
An inexpensive volunteer programme in Belek, the second largest known sea turtle nesting area in the Mediterranean, that covers food, accommodation, transportation expenses within the project and from and to the airport. Volunteers are needed for between 15 days and three and a half months, and duties include monitoring sea turtle populations, determining and minimising the negative impacts on nests and hatchlings, providing tourists and the local people with information about sea turtles, creating a public awareness about the conservation of sea turtles, and encouraging contributions to the conservation studies.

Experiment in International Living
EIL need people with English as their first language to volunteer 15 hours a week helping a host family with conversational English in exchange for food and accommodation. A range of other volunteer projects are available including environmental community work, agricultural work with Turkish villagers, working in a primary school or building a playground. Basic Turkish language classes are included during orientation to enable communication with the locals. EIL also have a homestay programme.
