Alliance Nepal - Provide Nepali culture and training for foreign volunteers who wish to render their services to Nepal. Asia Venture - An organisation that enables students to gain unpaid work experience with youth in Northern India and Nepal.
BVO Nepal -A non profit NGO that provides volunteer work and the Experience Real Nepal programme. Volunteer work incudes teaching English at a school or monastery, assistng at an orphanage or disabled care house, community maintenance projects and social work.

Global Vision International - A UK based organisation which sources volunteers to international charities, non-profits and research organisations. Since 1998 they have sent over 600 Volunteers on international internships, conservation expeditions and teaching placements. In addition to placing Volunteers they also provide funding for research equipment, professional staffing and training. At the time of writing GVI have projects in Nepal, among other place. All programmes are carefully selected and their international and domestic partners include Rainforest Concern and the Endangered Wildlife Trust.
Global Volunteer Network - A non profit organisation. GVN place people in community projects. Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational and community aid programs. Volunteers can be involved in areas such as teaching English, environmental work, health and sanitation, and cultural home stays.

i to i International Projects Ltd - i-to-i Ventures are worthwhile voluntary projects that last from 4 to 24 weeks in India and Nepal. i-to-i projects are open to everyone aged 18 to 80 so as long as you have the enthusiasm and dedication, i-to-i can find the right project for you.
IVCS - A small registered charity running a scheme enabling anyone over 18 to visit development projects in India for voluntary work or general interest, for any period from 3 weeks to 6 months. The emphasis is on learning about development and a different way of life, but there are opportunities to join the work of the project for example by teaching conversational English, helping with everyday tasks, writing reports, painting murals, or arranging special activities for school children. Fees are reasonable, particularly for longer stays. No qualifications required except tact, patience and a willingness to learn and fit into a very different way of life.
Nabin English School - Provides an opportunity to visit Nepal and help Nepalese communities to support different activities. Volunteers will have the opportunity to explore and experience Nepal's unique way of life, natural beauty and the warmth of its people.
New International Friendship Club-Nepal - Voluntary work in Nepal.
Peace Brigades International - PBI has branches in 15 countries and recruits volunteers to act as international observers and to accompany local human rights activists in conflict areas. They began working in Guatemala in 1983 and have run projects in El Salvador and Sri Lanka.
People Tree Gap Year Placement - Among the projects offered is elephant conservation placements for volunteers that want to learn how to become an elephant driver or a Mahout as it is called in India.

SECMOL - The Students' Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh was founded in India in 1988 by a group of young Ladakhis. Today they organise activities for Ladakhi youth, run a campus for students and develop solar energy projects. Volunteers contribute around £4 per day towards costs.
Smile Society - Welcomes students and international volunteers to help in their work with street and slum kids in India.
Students Partnership Worldwide - Recruit people aged between 18 and 25 from the developing and developed worlds to work in India and Nepal.
Swogun Nepal - NGO in Nepal. If you are motivated and willing to socialize, you are welcome to participate as a contributing volunteer in their Solar Aid programme designed to provide you with first hand experience of Nepalese culture and its social welfare. Volunteers should be computer literate (familiar with MS Word, Excel and Outlook) with a Bachelors degree (or enrolled in a degree program) and able to commit for one week to one year.
