Bold Earth Teen Adventures - Adventure trip leaders are employed to guide a dozen or so American high school students around Italian (and Greek) cultural sites and in activities such as sea kayaking and windsurfing. AAVE employ one male and one female leader per trip, aged over 21 and certified in the highest levels of wilderness first aid, CPR and lifeguard training.

Colletts Mountain Holidays - Walking holidays in the Italian Dolomites, South Tyrol and the French and Spanish Pyrenees. A small independent company among the staff Colletts recruit are walk organisers, chalet hosts and resort managers.

Crystal Holidays - Offers a variety of ski and summer holidays.

The English Camp Company - Teach English at summer camps for seven to 14 year olds in Italy and Austria. Teachers should be over 18, outgoing, organisaed, energetic and responsible native English speakers.

English Communication School - Qualified native English teachers sometimes employed in Malta. There is a short form on the website to register your interest in careers or internships.

Interski Snowsport School - Employ over 300 Basi Grade 3 (or national equivalent or above) ski instructors each season for Italian resorts. Their temporary instructor package includes a weekly training package, concessionary scheme for spouse / partners, return coach travel, six day lift pass and half board accommodation. Other positions available in the winter include resort assistant, ski / snowboard hire assistant and photographers.

Roger Walker Travel - A travel group with several brands concentrating on Italy. Employment informtion is available and they were looking for nannies and ski instructors when we visited the site.

TotalNannies.com - A regular advertiser in the Jobs Abroad Bulletin that offers numerous au pair and nanny vacancies across Italy.

Union Lido | Bolero Holidays - We couldn't find any employment information on their website so perhaps it is best that we reproduce the information they sent to us: "Work for Bolero Holidays at the Union Lido holiday park in Italy, near Venice. Looking for competent hard-working individuals to work as a courier / rep for a very well established and well respected company. Some kids duty work might be required, will need to be fully police checked prior to employment. Season runs from late March until Early October. Accommodation provided, weekly salary. Send your CV to our email address, quote OverseasJobCentre."

Venue Holidays - Family run company offering self-drive holidays with fully-equipped tents and mobile-homes on sites throughout France, Spain and Italy. They employ Campsite Couriers to assist with the running and maintenance of sites and units. Must be out-going, fit and able to work as a team-member or on own initiative. Knowledge of a major European language helpful but not essential. Season runs from March to October, minimum period 2 months. Wages £100 per week.

Art History Abroad - AHA take students, aged 18 to 25, on six week courses travelling through Venice, Verona or Bologna, Florence, Siena or Perugia, Rome and Naples to see many of the greatest achievements in art, architecture and sculpture that Italy has to offer. Summer courses are also available as is a scholarship for the winner of an essay competition.

Birdlife Malta - Self funding boat or site based volunteer work available. One week minimum stay.

Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici - A non profit cultural organisation specialising in prehistoric and tribal art. There are a few fixed roles for skilled volunteers. Volunteers of all nationalities, able to read, write and speak reasonable English are accepted.

Parks.it - A portal about national parks and marine protected areas in Italy. There is a link to volunteer work at the bottom of the front page but on the English version of the site it doesn't go anywhere.

Scuola Leonardo da Vinci - Learn Italian in Rome, Milan, Florence and Siena. Also music, cultural and art, fashion and design courses available.

Spannocchia Foundation - The Spannocchia Foundation was formed with the intent of supporting conservation, research, and education at the Tenuta di Spannocchia, an 1100 acre organic agricultural estate in central Tuscany. Internships on the farm or in guest services are offered and a small number of volunteers can take part in winter volunteer work. The foundation also sponsors a variety of cultural and environmental education programmes mostly concentrating on painting and sketching or food and wine.
