Work
Are you aged between 18 and 24? We are seeking
enthusiastic, hard working, highly motivated
young adults to be trained as 'Activity Instructors'.
You need a 'get up and go' attitude and a love
for working with children.
There
are many things in life that can make one happy,
but far many, none are more rewarding than working
with children in a safe fun environment that
both challenges and inspires. Our Activity Centres
host thousands of every year and as one of our
Activity Instructors you will be responsible
for making sure their visit is one that they
will remember for a lifetime! Its a rewarding
and different job where you will learn as much
as you teach. You will also get a chance to
enrich their skills with challenging and inspiring
activities whether outdoors or in a small classroom
setting and encourage them to develop their
newly learned abilities. We also develop all
our staff, initially you will receive both NVQ
development as well as training for NGB's (National
Governing Body Awards). This may lead to joining
other schemes maybe within ICT, teacher training
or perhaps management training skill.
Life
on centre is very rewarding, there is a strong
'family' atmosphere and you will meet many talented
and dedicated staff members. Staff Accommodation
throughout the UK varies from small houses to
larger student style halls of residence. Its
hard work but fun and you will make friendships
that will last a lifetime. Most staff members
stay with Kingswood for 12-18 months before
either pursuing other opportunities in the leisure
industry or going on to more senior positions
in our centre management teams.
