Live, Work & Travel in Macedonia

Macedonia quietly slipped away from the former Yugoslavia in 1991 but couldn't shake off the 'former' tag quite so easily. Due to a dispute with Greece the country is rather clumsily named (in the UN at least) as The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. For travellers, Macedonia remains one of the last undiscovered countries in Europe and is well worth a visit. The people are friendly and Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage site set on a sea like lake bordering Albania, will surely become a next big thing in the future, both as a travel and a property buying destination.
