Montenegro, meaning "Black Mountain" in Montenegrin, became Europe's newest country when it divorced itself from Serbia in 2006. Involved in the Balkan wars of the 1990s tourism has since recovered to pre war levels and Montenegro is attempting to market itself as a high end destination.
