Often negleted in favour of its larger neighbour Russia, English language teachers may find the pickings juicier in Ukraine - the orange revolution kickstarted interest in the language in a country that previously faced towards Russia. Susan Griffith, editor of Work Your Way Around the World, has compared the situation to central Europe just after the revolutions in 1991. Beyond English teaching Ukraine is only useful to itinerant worker travellers interested in volunteer work.
