Travel Trade Recruitment - A recruitment agency specialising in the recruitment of travel staff for both permanent and temporary travel jobs.
C & M Travel Recruitment - Specialists in travel employment opportunities across all sectors of the travel industry.
Cox & Kings - Starting out in 1758 as regimental travel agent to the Foot Guards, C & K now cover the Indian Subcontinent, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, the Far East, Europe and Australasia.
Shearings Holidays - Application forms are offered via the website to join the group's 3000 staff. Shearings also includes a chain of 44 hotels.
Leger Holidays - Offering escorted coach tours they must employ someone to do the escorting but all we could find on the jobs page when we looked were call centre jobs in the UK for those with an interest in travel and with good geographical knowledge of Europe, the USA and Canada.
Balkan Holidays - Specialist tour operator to Eastern Europe.
Prefered Travel Services - Holidays and short escorted tours to many European destinations. Tour directors speak English and another language but seem, for the most part, to come from the holiday location. No employment information on the website.
Club Europe Holidays - Concert tours, school travel and ski tours. Employment information is available. For concert tours, Club Europe employs tour managers on an ad hoc basis to accompany school and youth ensembles on tour in Europe. Concert tours run all year with the busiest periods being during the spring and summer seasons making these positions suitable for students and teachers wishing to work during holiday periods.
Woods Travel - Coach and air tours around the UK and to European destinations. Part time PCV drivers with a smart appearance and a full manual licence are required.
Freewheel Holidays - Cycling holidays in Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Holland and the UK. There is a jobs page on the website but it was blank when we looked.
Monarch Travel - The Monarch group includes Cosmos Holidays where jobs can be found in Mediterranean resorts as overseas representatives, children and creche representatives and operations assistants. Knowledge of a foreign language is an advantage and applicants should be over 21, have a UK National Insurance number, UK bank account and a full UK driving licence.
CatererGlobal.com - A recruitment website for vacancies in the world’s best hotels and cruise ships.
ChefsWorld - Empowers chefs in the marketplace by opening up communication channels between chefs globally. Not a recruitment site but they do provide this facility.
Hotel Career - Thousands of jobs for hotel staff.
Newmarket Holidays - Group, educational and sports travel. No employment information is offered but their blurb on the Abta website states 'regional pick ups and tour manager included'.
ECR Hospitality Recruitment - A Danish company that recruits hospitality staff for hotels and resorts around the world.
Time Out - Recruits animators, scene painters and DJs for hotel chains and resorts in Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Egypt and other countries.
LuxuryHotelJobs - Recruitment website for those looking to work in swanky establishments.

Burger King - Burger chain careers.
Accor - Accor is a hotel and corporate Service group with over 150,000 employees in 100 professions around the world. Jobs include all types of chefs, kitchen hands, stewards, housekeeping, bar staff, storekeepers and front office.
AC Hotels - Over 80 hotels in Spain, Italy and Portugal. Though the site is in English the vacancies listed on the employment page are in Spanish. CVs can also be sent.
Akena Hotels - Hotels in France and Belgium. Employment information available.
Akzent Hotels - Hotels in the German speaking parts of Europe. Any vacancies are listed on the page headed 'Akzent interns'.
Althof Hotel Collection - Clicking on the career page will send you to vacancies listed on the Hotel Career website. There were vacancies in Germany, London and Switzerland when we looked.
Ascott Group - Job and internship information is provided by this global hotel group.
Astotel Group - A selection of independent hotels in Paris. A link marked 'emploi' on the French version of the site takes those interested in employment to a form to fill in.
Baglioni Hotels - Plush hotels in Italy, France and London. Short employment information and the human resources email address is provided.
Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts - Tasteful hotel and leisure facilities in Thailand, UAE, China, Indonesia, Mexico, the Maldives and the Seychelles, among other places. A PDF recruitment brochure is available, along with the email to the group HR department and a list of current jobs openings for positions such as yoga instructor, executive chef and sales manager.
Barcelo - Hotels and resorts in the USA, Spain, Turkey, Central America, Morocco and several other destinations. Applicants are invited to send their CV.
Barclay International Group - Offers a collection of hotel alternatives, such as short-term apartments in London, Paris, Rome, Florence and Venice, villas in Italy, Greece and Spain, cottage rentals in England and Ireland. There is a jobs link but at the time of writing there was nothing available.
Best Western International - A global group of hotels. Careers information provided.
Boutique Hotels and Resorts International - A large selection of accommodation around the world. A jobs page is available but useless.

Ski Independence - Family owned and run for over 50 years, Ski Independence recruit resort reps and chalet hosts for their North American programme. Applicants must be over 25 years old, and must hold a full UK driving licence.
Work the Mountain - Winter and summer jobs at altitude. When we looked the site carried a small number of jobs posted a couple of years ago.
Club Europe Holidays - Concert tours, school travel and ski tours. Employment information is available. For ski tours, Club Europe employs students on an ad hoc basis to accompany ski tours to Italy, France and Austria. Proficiency in German, French or Italian and reasonable skiing ability is essential. Applicants should feel confident in handling emergency situations, be an excellent communicator and highly organised.

The Adventurists - Take a look at the Adventurists for a different way of getting around the world as this collection of self described pillocks are hell bent on bringing the adventure revolution to the people. Their activities, which help raise funds for charity, include the Mongol Rally, a rickshaw run and finding the lost city of Ascuncion via a mototaxi junket. Looks great fun.
The Italian Job - Get a Mini and drive over the Alps to Italy along with loads of other people in Minis. It's not a self preservation society as on days like these the purpose is to raise charity funds. The rally costs £500 per car to enter and there is a service van manned by experienced and knowledgeable crew should you break down or accidently blow the bloody doors off.
Spaceships - Rent a spaceship in Australia, New Zealand or the UK. What they are is an orange custom designed sort of cross between a car and a campervan.

AAVE employ one male and one female leader per trip, aged over 21 and certified in the highest levels of wilderness first aid, CPR and lifeguard training.
American Farm School - The American Farm School Greek Summer programme offers high school students a cultural experience abroad that includes living with a Greek village family, community service work, and exploration of Greece's historic sites and natural beauty. Those from outside of the US are welcome to join the programme.
ARCHELON - The Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece is an environmental NGO welcoming enthusiastic and committed volunteers to assist with its activities. Volunteers are invited to work on the island of Zakynthos, in Peloponnesus, and Crete. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in the daily treatment of sea turtles that usually bear injuries as a result of their accidental capture in fishing gear and help with the raising of public awareness among the public and maintenance of the centre's facilities. Field work takes place between mid May and mid October but the rescue centre is open all year.
ARCTUROS - Founded in 1992 to put an end 'dancing bears' ARCTUROS welcomes assistance, either independently or through the European Voluntary Service programme. Volunteers can work at the environmental centre, help raise public awareness or take part in field work activities.
Donkey Sanctuary Cyprus - Providing life care to donkeys and mules, volunteers from abroad who want to have a working holiday are welcome to offer extra help to the sanctuary.
Earth, Sea and Sky - Aims to reverse the deterioration of the wildlife habitat within the area of Zakynthos designated as a National Marine Park. Volunteers work as a small team to research and record the affects of tourism on the local environment, provide information on the local flora and fauna to visitors, rescue injured animals and participate in beach and forest clean ups.
ELIX - Conservation Volunteers Greece - An NGO that organises international voluntary work programmes and youth exchange. Summer workcamps take place in Greece from June to September.
Hellenic Foundation for Youth and Volunteering - A non profit making NGO established on the island of Kefalonia and operated exclusively by volunteers . The club receives volunteers from all over the world who can take part in underwater research and dolphin observation, work at the museum or join the rescue team.

Kalikalos - Offering holistic holidays in Greece, Kalikalos welcome volunteers to help out around the centre and on an organic farm. They offer food and accommodation, usually in a tent or yurt, from as little as a couple of weeks to five or six months on a work exchange basis. Staff members put in up to 30 hours of work per week, get one full day off each week and generally can count on a couple of hours on the beach or time to themselves daily.
Katelios Group - The Katelios Group is a a small organisation working to protect the natural environment of Kefalonia focusing on the conservation of the endangered Loggerhead sea turtle. Volunteers are welcome to help out between May and October.
Lesbian Wildlife Hospital - A small non profit organisation on the island of Lesbos that aims to give first aid to domestic and wild animals. They welcome any useful help.
Marine Turtle Research Group - A group of professional scientists and student volunteers dedicated to undertaking fundamental and applied research on marine turtles, they invite applicants for voluntary field assistant positions in northern Cyprus.
Archipelagos - The Institute of Marine and Environmental Research of the Agean Sea offers the opportunity for recent graduates and students to acquire practical experience in conservation work. Placement duration is between three to 12 months in Archipelagos' research bases on islands in the eastern Aegean Sea.
Mediterranean Association to Save the Sea Turtles - Volunteers, preferably packing a laptop, work for a minimum of three weeks at the MEDASSET office in Athens.
National Marine Park of Alonnisos Northern Sporades - Enthusiastic, motivated individuals with an interest in environmental conservation are invited to offer volunteer work on the first designated National Marine Park in Greece, the largest in the Mediterranean. Volunteers are required to assist in the implementation of the park's day to day management programme which includes field work and office duties.

The Silva Project - A non profit organisation in Corfu dedicated to preserving the Skyrian horse. Volunteers work with the horses and on an organic kiwi fruit farm.

WWOOF Greece - Greece doesn't have its own national office but a look at the 'independents' section of the international WWOOF website reveals that, at the time of writing, there are 37 organic farming organisations in the country.

Spannocchia Foundation - The Spannocchia Foundation was formed with the intent of supporting conservation, research, and education at the Tenuta di Spannocchia, an 1100 acre organic agricultural estate in central Tuscany. Internships on the farm or in guest services are offered and a small number of volunteers can take part in winter volunteer work. The foundation also sponsors a variety of cultural and environmental education programmes mostly concentrating on painting and sketching or food and wine.

Balkan Sunflowers - An international grassroots organisation, founded in 1999 to aid the Kosovar refugees, Balkan Sunflowers runs a summer camp between June and August.
Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste - A German peace and volunteer service organisation founded in the aftermath of World War II to confront the legacy of the Nazi regime. Their mission is accomplished through long term and short term volunteer programs. In the Czech Republic volunteers work at the memorial site of Theresienstadt (Terezín), they visit the elderly of the Jewish community in Brno, Ostrava, Olomouc and Prague, they support Czech refugees and give help to initiatives of the Roma minority.
American Jewish Joint Distribution Commitee - A Jewish humanitarian assistance organisation that provides assistance to Jewish communities in several eastern European countries. As part of the year long Jewish Service Corps volunteers will work to promote Jewish identity and community development by organising and guiding others in Jewish educational, cultural, social, and religious programmes. Volunteers should have a strong Jewish background and a passion for transmitting it, as well as experience in formal/informal education or social welfare.
Armenian Volunteer Corps - Open to diasporan Armenians from any part of the world, who posses the motivation and ability to volunteer themselves, their time and their talents to Armenia for a long or short service term (minimum of 1 month), and are above the age of 21. Past volunteers have ranged from the ages of 21 to 72. There are no language requirements.
HUJ - Voluntary Service of Armenia - Every summer HUJ organizes six or seven international workcamps in
Azerbaijan Society for the Protection of Animals - A local organisation, based in Baku, that states that it is constantly in need of volunteers.
Magic Carpet - A US organisation that works with children and their caregivers in Azerbaijan to help realise their potential. Volunteers mostly come from the American Azeri diaspora providing input on translations, training materials and mentoring programmes.
United Aid for Azerbaijan - UAFA was founded in 1998 with a mission to aid long term development of life in Azerbaijan, with a particular focus on children, health and education. Volunteers can contribute their skills and time to any of their projects. UAFA state that enthusiasm and patience are amongst the greatest skills needed when working with disadvantaged children.

WWOOF Slovenia - The Slovene branch of the organic farming movement doesn't have a website and only a small number of farms but some information can be found on the international WWOOF website.
Eko Centar Caput Insulae Beli - A local Croatian organisation that concentrates its efforts to protecting the Eurasian Giffon Vulture. In addition to the volunteer programme ECCIB also runs an ecotourism programme.

Language Link Russia - Have a programme that combines Russian language study with paid part time work in an international language centre. Participants pay a programme fee in advance for accommodation, Russian tuition and administrational expenses, but they receive wages for teaching their native language. No qualifications or experience needed. Voluntary work in Siberia and paid teaching jobs are also available.

Allianssi Youth Exchanges - AYE mostly sends young Finns abroad but they do place about 100 international volunteers with their work camps in Finland every year. Those volunteers are recruited from partner organisations abroad.
Amnesty International Finland - Though most of the website is in Finnish, the English version of the website provides an email address for English speakers interested in volunteer work.
CIF in Finland - An exchange programme where participants live with host families in Finland.
ICYE Finland - A reciprocal programme that hosts volunteers in Finland. Volunteers work in non profit organisations and communities such as social projects, environment or peace movements, women’s organisations and special cultural and developmental projects.
United Planet - UP represents the USA and Canada as part of the ICYE federation. They operate the Finland Volunteer Quest Programme, applicants for which should be US or Canadian citizens or residents. Work begins in August each year and volunteers take part in either education or social projects.
Húsavík Whale Museum - Aiming to provide interesting information about whales and their habitat, the whale museum has a volunteer programme. Volunteers aged over 21 and willing to work for two months work on reception, guide museum visitors and participate in the whale research project. Positions are available from May to September.
Seeds - Many and varied short term workcamps around Iceland such as supporting the Rekjavik Arts Festival or helping out at Vatnajökull National Park, the largest in Europe. Longer term volunteer work and internships are also available.
Worldwide Friends Iceland - A non profit NGO that promotes nature and peace orientated activities for people interested in spending some time in Iceland as volunteers. Participants can take part in short term workcamps or on longer projects. The Clean Up the Coastline project aims to clean the beaches of Iceland within five years by collecting waste in collaboration with international volunteers, school children, students, youth and environmental organisations and companies.
Atlantis - Runs a Working Guest programme enabling foreigners, aged 18 to 30, to work for up to six months in the Norwegian countryside. Applicants must be able to speak English and will receive board, lodging and pocket money.

Peru Luz Esperanza - Founded with the aim to fight the poverty and ignorance which exist in the rural places around Huancayo. Volunteers can join in a number of projects including a bakery, carpentry and cattle raising.
Pachamama Children - Founded in 2005 by young Cusquenos and Cuscquenas to promote sustainable development initiatives in the rural communities around Cusco. Volunteers have contributed by helping out at the farms, making adobe bricks, constructing schools, or teaching at the schools.
Hogar de Esperanza - An orphanage for orphaned, abandoned and abused children in Peru. There is both a short term, a week to a few months, and a long term volunteer programme. Short termers pay a fee while long term volunteers get their food, accommodation and other benefits for free.
Expand Peru - A non profit organisation, concerned with the improvement of the quality of life of people living in extreme poverty in Peru. Volunteers need commit for a week and can work in Andean Huancayo or in the city of San Ramón, in the Amazon.
Supporting Kids in Peru - An NGO working in an impoverished district of Trujillo. Volunteers willing to teach English to primary school children come in useful.
Pisco Sin Fronteras - PSF gives assistance to people affected by an earthquake in the Pisco region in 2007. They help by helping to build houses, schools, sanitation units and helping with other community based projects. Work for volunteers could involve mixing and pouring concrete, clearing a site, brick laying, digging foundations, plumbing, painting or English teaching.
Mad Volunteers - A small group of individuals that are continuingthe disaster relief response in to the 2007 earthquake in Pisco, Peru. Volunteers with construction or trade skills are most useful but all volunteers can make a difference, learn new skills and help to build something that will really change someone’s life. There is no participation fee but volunteers are asked to contribute 10 soles a day (about £2) towards covering MV's operating costs and a place for you to stay and breakfast - lunch is usually provided by the family you are working for.

HHK appreciates volunteers that can share their talents and skills with the children, such as computing, karate, athletics, etc.
Las Sonrisas de los Niños - A small humanitarian organisation operating a youth center for impoverished children near the village of El Cacao outside of La Ceiba, Honduras. They are happy to accept walk in volunteers to work for a morning, an afternoon, a day, a week, or many months, to play games and sports, help with crafts, read stories, or simply sitting and holding the kids.
Tropical Adventures - A non profit organisation providing volunteer tour packages for individuals, families and groups interested in exploring the culture, language and natural beauty of Costa Rica.
Asociacion Widecast - A sea turtle conservation project in Costa Rica, volunteers are encouraged to join them at any point during the season. For eighteen years, they have welcomed students, travelers and professionals from countries around the world who have an interest in hands on conservation and data collection work with an endangered species. Volunteers can commit from a week up to several months of their time participating in their programme in Gandoca Wildlife Refuge and Cahuita Nationa Park.
Utila Iguana Research and Breeding Station - Since 1994, the Frankfurt Zoological Society and the Senckenberg Nature Research Society have worked jointly to preserve the Utila Iguana, an endangered reptile living only on the Island of Utila, Honduras. Jobs for volunteers are varied: public relations, environmental education, animal care, gardening, station maintenance and ecological research, are a few examples.

The sanctuary, home to 75 monkeys, offers volunteer work, for any duration of time, for those interested in a hands on exotic animal care experience.
CERCOPAN - A Nigerian organisation that works in primate rehabilitation, environmental education, community rainforest conservation, and research. Long and short term and working holiday volunteers are welcomed.
The Marine Conservation Society Seychelles - Accept volunteers on their programmes throughout the year, however places are limited and vacancies fill up quickly. Duties will include supporting a number of the on going programmes. Applicants should be self funding and over 21. Additionally they offer a very limited number of internships for a whale shark monitoring project from August to October.
Mauritian Wildlife Foundation - The only NGO in Mauritius to be exclusively concerned with the conservation and preservation of the Mauritian nation's endangered plants and animals. They state that they are always keen to hear from university graduates who would like to gain practical hands on experience and pursue a conservation career working within the MWF. They accept volunteers throughout the year to work on a range of our projects. The work may involve endemic bird nest location and monitoring, radio tracking, population monitoring, report writing, animal handling of pink pigeons, echo parakeets, Mauritius kestrels and passerines. Other projects include the conservation of rare plants and captive breeding.
Mgahinga Community Development Organisation - An umbrella group comprising of several groups, associations and educational facilities, united by a common goal of improving the lives of the people of Mgahinga, in Uganda. Offer a limited number of self funded volunteer posts to enthusiastic people for one to three months or longer. They need teachers, conservationists, biologists, health workers, vets, IT and administration skills, to name just a few. They also welcome international students and Africans who wish to further develop their knowledge in a working environment out in the field.
Youth Vision Uganda - An indigenous youth led community based NGO working to help alleviate the plight of the less privileged, poor needy youth and children in Kati Kati village, northern Uganda. The volunteer page link was blank when we visited but their partner organisation, the Omprakash Foundation, states YVU is "accepting application letters from creative, talented, passionate and innovative youth to work with orphaned vulnerable children under its early childhood development education model centre of Bright Destiny Academy or its Sports for Development program".
Animal Protection and Environmental Sanctuary - APES welcomes volunteers, backpackers and wildlife enthusiasts seeking enviro experience and eco tourism opportunities in Southern Africa.
Vervet Monkey Foundation - A centre is based in Tzaneen in the Limpopo Province of South Africa that rehabilitates and provides sanctuary to over 700 vervet monkeys. Volunteers sleep in the volunteer village and work with monkeys or on projects such as building or painting.
Edge of Africa - Aims to assist valid, scientifically based, conservation efforts and research in Africa. They develope their own projects which work towards African heritage. Volunteer work can involve working with meercats, sports projects and reforestation with Rastafarians.
Whipalong - Located in Limpopo, South Africa, Whipalong invites volunteers to be a part of the on going rehabilitation and reschooling of abused and neglected horses.

Junior Art Club - Aims to identify, train and provide action oriented skills and job opportunities through product design and marketing to the youth of Ghana. Volunteers are involved in workshop sessions with the children of JAC. Many volunteers are artists who go to share their skills but help is also needed with administrative, marketing, and development initiatives. As part of the programme, volunteers will also have the opportunity to take private lessons from a variety of local artists in the area in subjects that include painting, drawing, textile design, tie and dye, batik printing, ceramics, sculpture, wood carving, African drumming, African dance, photography, and basketry.

Nomad Adventure Tours - An African owned overland company. Short volun tours are available. They also employ guides and camp assistants. Applicants must be on an African passport and have applicable experience. All driving positions require a heavy duty licence and valid South African PDP. Road crew are required to speak excellent English and applicants speaking German or Spanish will be given preference. HOPE Ofiriha - Founded by ten widows, HOPE Ofiriha help to alleviate the suffering of women, young girls and children in rural Magwi County, Sudan. Their volunteer programme is not rigidly structured - it is up to you what you become involved with when you reach them. The local community has so many needs that they find it is best if volunteers find their niche once they reach Onura and have had time to talk to other volunteers, the coordinators, and managers, and had time to have a good look at the general area, the primary school, the nursery schools, the health centre, etc. A minimum three month commitment is prefered but shorter stays are possible.
SOTENI International - Helps orphans and other vulnerable people who have been most affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa. Health professionals are required to volunteer their time in Kenya. Student internships designed to train volunteers to work in rural and urban settings in Kenya are also available.
Kibera Girls Soccer Academy - Kibera is the largest slum in Africa and the second largest in the world. Abdul and Salim who both grew up there started a football academy and later a school. Volunteers can work at the school for as long of a stay as they like. Elephant Nature Park - This nature park in Thailand needs experienced volunteer vets but also offers opportunities to student vets and to animal helpers with no previous experience. Tasks include assisting elephant keepers with bathing the elephants and general duties around the park.

Life and Hope Association - Have a number of active programmes which aim to improve access to education for the vulnerable and disadvantaged youth of Cambodia. Neary Khymer - Neary Khmer, which means Khmer Women, was founded in 1999 to help educate and empower Khmer women in the poorest communities of Siem Reap, Cambodia. The website carries no information on volunteering but they are partnered with the Omprakash Foundation who state: "Individuals with experience and training in issues of health, nutrition, and/or sustainable agriculture are encouraged to consider volunteering at Neary Khmer. Proficiency in the Khmer language is ideal but not necessary".
Development and Education Programme for Daughters and Communities - A non profit community based NGO working in Thailand on the prevention side of the trafficking of women and children into the sex industry. There are approximately six foreign volunteers at any one time who stay for six months or more. In the past DEPDC has had volunteers who taught English, handicrafts, origami, basic computer skills, run activities for children and dealt with English correspondence.
Planet Care/GHAP - A non profit organisation working to improve the well being of communities in crisis, both locally and internationally, through the provision of health and public health services, capacity building, and resource enhancement. Each year, Planet Care/GHAP accepts a carefully selected small group of interns them with their programmes on Thailand's Burma borders. They typically look for a six month to one year commitment, a public health or medical degree, and prior international experience.
Island TEFL - Located on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand, Island TEFL offers a rather pleasant location to gain a TEFL qualification. They offer two separate packages: either a four week TEFL certificate course or the course plus a one month volunteer placement on Samui.

Tell es-Safi/Gath Archaeological Project - An excavation in Israel uncovering biblical Gath of the the Philistines, the home of Goliath, one of the largest and most impressive sites in the Near East. Tel Rehov - Welcomes volunteers to help to excavate one of the largest and most intriguing Biblical cities in Israel . The dig takes place from mid June until mid July. Prisoners Assistance Nepal - Aiming to rid prisons of unnecessary suffering and hardship, PAN accept volunteers to work in a children's home for the children of convicted parents. No fees are required to volunteer.
Unity Charitable Trust - Based in Tamil Nadu, India, Unity is a registered NGO working for the upliftment of the depressed and disadvantaged women and children. They place volunteers from abroad into English teaching positions in their Nursery and primary school here in Virudhunagar.

EKAD - An inexpensive volunteer programme in Belek, the second largest known sea turtle nesting area in the Mediterranean, that covers food, accommodation, transportation expenses within the project and from and to the airport. Volunteers are needed for between 15 days and three and a half months, and duties include monitoring sea turtle populations, determining and minimising the negative impacts on nests and hatchlings, providing tourists and the local people with information about sea turtles, creating a public awareness about the conservation of sea turtles, and encouraging contributions to the conservation studies.
