Perfect
Way is an Au pair agency for families living in
Switzerland or in other countries in Europe. My
goal is not just to find a girl for the families.I
find it important to find the perfect girl for each
family, regarding interests, type of humour, etc.
That is why I spend a lot of time talking to each
girl as well as each family on the phone or personally.
I also visit all families before I accept to help
them.
I try to join the families when they pick up "their"
girls at the airport and I usually visit the girls
after two to three weeks to see how everything goes.
I try to give the girls as much practical information
as possible about their new hometown such as how
to get around by train or bus. I also try to help
them to establish contact with other Au pairs in
the neighbourhood, for example by arranging a lunch
or a dinner at my place so that the girls can get
to know each other, me and my family.
It is important to me that both the girls and the
families know that they can contact me at any time
if they have any problems or questions.
I usually need some time to find the "right" girls.
From the first contact until the girls are here
it usually takes about 4-6 weeks. The most important
thing, is that the result is Perfect.
I hope you now feel that you know a little bit more
about me and my philosophy.
Karin Schatzmann.
Positions
Au Pairs. You work 30 hours per week net and
you make between 600-900 Swiss francs per month.
Your work includes babysitting one or two times/week,
ironing, washing up, making lunch - "light housework".
The family pays 50% of the studies and 50% of the
health insurance. The family also pays 100% of the
insurance for accidents and one the return ticket
between your country and Switzerland. You
have your own room, often with your own TV and shower.
It is natural for the families that you live with
them as a family member, which means that you will
get the possibility to go on vacation or ski holiday
with them.
Qualifications & Duties
My families are there for their girls, but that
also means that they have high demands. You shall
be aware of that you represent your country and
Perfect Way. You shall be honest and flexible as
well as you shall do your work 100%. You have to
be independent so that after 2 weeks you know what
to do without the mother having to tell you that.
In some families you are responsible for small children,
which most of the time means less cleaning. In other
families with older children, who go to school,
there is often more cleaning. It is important that
you have some sort of experience of housework and
cooking. Families appreciate if you can bake some
cookies which are typical for your country.
Some of the families live in the country, which
means that you are allowed to borrow the families'
car. It is a big responsibility so drive safely
and sober.
If you think that you will be able to party 5-6
nights per week you should try to contact another
agency or look for your own. I am not interested
in such girls. It might sound hard but I prefer
to be honest.
Where
Switzerland is a great country for you who wants
to become an Au pair. The families I have got are
really good since I interview them personally before
I accept them to get an idea about what type of
girl who fits in the family.
It is very important that you understand that you
are here to work, to help the family at the same
time as you are here to learn German. The families
know that you have to go to school and that they
are suppose to help you with your homework. They
also want for you to learn about the Swiss culture.
Application Details
You are most welcome to call, write, email or
fax to me. You can write in English, German or Swedish
and tell me who you are, where you live, if you
have any sisters or brothers and what you usually
do on your spare time. What have you been studying
, what languages have you read and what kind of
experience do you have from children? The
more you write and tell me, the better. |
