Raleigh
International is a youth development charity. The
aim is to inspire young people (aged 17 - 25) from
all backgrounds and cultures to realise their potential
through community, environmental and adventure projects
overseas.
Positions
As a Volunteer aged 17-25 you will take on three
types of project over the 10 weeks. You could be
working on environmental projects alongside scientists
doing biodiversity studies on glacial lakes in Chile
or working with the Cheetah Conservation Fund in
Ghana. You could also be initiating sports programs
in Namibia or building schools and medical centres,
as part of the commnunity projects. On the adventure
projects you could be kayaking, mountaining climbing,
trekking or canoeing.
Where
Ghana, Namibia, Chile, Belize, Borneo-Sabah,
and Costa Rica & Nicaragua.
Fees
Volunteers aged 17-25 are asked to raise £3500,
which we know is a massive challenge so provide
losts of support in the form of fundraising events
to help you.
Wages
Volunteer positions.
Application Details
Filll in an Application Form. The next stage
will be a Introduction Weekend if aged between 17-25
or a Staff Assessment Weekend, if over 25.
