We
offer young people a unique experience to volunteer
for 4-9 months at grassroots level in Africa and
Asia. Living and working in partnership with young
African & Asian volunteers you share knowledge,
experience & ideas to support rural communities
in their response to health & environmental
issues that affect their lives.
Positions
Heath Education: 7-9 months fixed contract (except
India 4 months)
As peer educators, you will communicate youth friendly
information about adolescent health issues through
sport, drama, & debate to encourage rural youth
to make informed choices about their lives.
Community
Resource: 6 months fixed contract
Through participatory techniques you will help
a rural community to understand & assess its
resources to find sustainable solutions to issues
like low crop yield, deforestation, & water
borne disease.
We
will train you in local languages, cross cultural
awareness, development techniques, rural technologies,
leadership & team building and how to use
sport, drama & music to communicate vital
health and environmental information.
We
are a non-profit organisation and a registered
charity (regulated by the Charity Commission).
We will support you to fundraise for your programme.
Where
Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Zambia, India
and Nepal.
Fees
Around £3000 includes flight, visa, insurance,
food and accomodation and one month's training.
