Paid Internships – Teach English in Thailand

The SEE TEFL Paid Internship is an ideal way for people who wish to experience living and working in Thailand as a paid English language teacher, but who are not ready to commit to a 4-week training course, or a teaching commitment longer than 5 months.

Interns are paid at least 25,000 Thai Baht per month during the placement period. Thailand has low living costs, so this salary can provide a comfortable lifestyle while teaching in Thailand in local Thai communities.

The Internship involves pre-arrival classroom familiarization training and 2 weeks of face-to-face classroom skills and cultural awareness induction training in Chiang Mai. After that, the Interns are offered a paid 1-semester (4-5 months) teaching job in a rural or provincial Thai formal school.

It’s not necessary to possess previous teaching experience or to know any Thai language. Induction training will equip you with teaching and Thai basics. This training will give you the ability to make a confident and successful start to your teaching experience.

SEE is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This 700 year old Northern Thai city is large enough to be described as a regional center, but small enough to allow exploration around its ancient walls, moat, temples and alleyways by bicycle or foot. Celebrating one of Chiang Mai’s many festivals with your Thai friends is an experience not to be missed.

Training includes 6 observed 1-hour teaching practices in real schools with real students, cultural awareness training, Thai-language instruction, non-immigrant B (Business) visa support, early-bird discounts and on-going job support.
