The
Blackie was founded in 1968 as Britain's first community
arts project. Based in Liverpool's Chinatown, the
Blackie is committed to cultural and social diversity.
In the building we have theatre space as well as
a gallery.
Work
There are a wide variety of placements available
over the summer months. There are no qualification
requirements as such. However, we do require a CV
in order to assess suitability.

Fees/Wages
Accommodation in one of the communal houses
is free, however volunteers will be expected to
contribute a total of around £20 per week
towards food and household items. This includes
breakfast, lunch and evening meal.
