Kaya Pansiyon - A few minutes’ walk from the marina, sea front, Bar Street, restaurants, shops and bus station, this peaceful and quiet family Pansiyon has been welcoming visitors to Bodrum since 1987. Fans of Bodrum ourselves, this is our favourite place to stay when in town.

Avalon - Recruit sales agents across Turkey to sell funeral plans to expat residents.

British International School - Interviews held in February in London. Application form on site.

Club Resort Select Maris - A five star resort in Marmaris seen advertising for teachers to teach their staff English, catering staff, entertainers and dive instructors.

Dialogue Language Schools - Jobs often available in these Istanbul English language schools. German courses too. Website is in Turkish but phone numbers are given. They also organise au pair, work and travel and semester programmes, presumably for Turks.

Doga Schools - Istanbul English language schools. The English link wasn't working last we checked.

English Time - An international group of language schools with a branch in Istanbul.

Eyuboglu - Experienced English teachers recruited. Theoretically there is an application form on the website. The link is there, under contacts, but last we checked it didn't do anything.

International Cultural Exchange Programmes - Au pairs placed in Turkey. Earn US$200 per month for a three to 12 month stay. Other programmes available such as studying or teaching in Turkey and internships.

Istanbul Language Centre - Advertises in the UK for English language teachers. Interviews held in UK.

Kent English - English language school. No employment details on website but click 'Kariyerim' on the left side menu for an application form in English.

Lukka Outdoor Sport Events - Offer outdoor sports and guiding services in southern Turkey. This company used to be known as Lycian Adventures who were known to employ a small number of French and English fluent guides between April and November. Applicants had to be proficient in two of the following activities: sea kayaking, mountain biking, canyoning and trekking. Whether this is still true is unknown.

Savile Tours - British based tour operator with a small number of vacancies in Turkey each year. There is no employment information on the website and the last time we checked this link the site was still proudly announcing their 2010 portfolio.

Seahorse Residences - Commission based property sales staff sometimes recruited.

Turco-British Association - EFL jobs available. Despite the Union flag in the top right corner suggesting otherwise, the site is only in Turkish.

Turkish Job Centre - A job board advertising Turkish related job vacancies. Most jobs are in the UK but some are in Turkey.

Bugday Association for Supporting Ecological Living - A WWOOF group member with a small but growing number of organic farms requiring volunteer workers.

Chillout Cengo Hostel - Offers a bed and food in Istanbul to someone able to stick around for a couple of months helping out their cleaner for three hours a day.

EEC Anglo - Runs English immersion programmes in Turkey, in a 3 star hotel in Fethiye, for which they need native English speaking volunteers. In return volunteers receive all-inclusive double room accommodation with unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for seven days.

EKAD - An inexpensive volunteer programme in Belek, the second largest known sea turtle nesting area in the Mediterranean, that covers food, accommodation, transportation expenses within the project and from and to the airport. Volunteers are needed for between 15 days and three and a half months, and duties include monitoring sea turtle populations, determining and minimising the negative impacts on nests and hatchlings, providing tourists and the local people with information about sea turtles, creating a public awareness about the conservation of sea turtles, and encouraging contributions to the conservation studies.

Genctur - A local Turkish based organisation offering volunteer work on workcamps.

Fairy Chimney Inn - This cave hotel in Goreme takes on a volunteer to help about the place. Volunteers are also invited to initiate and implement a small cultural project of their own choosing.

Hills Cave Hotel - Has in the past used our Jobs Abroad Bulletin to indicate they are open to the ideas, energy and skills of a long term traveller looking for a working holiday.

Hush Hostel - Thought to accept travellers willing to work for their accommodation on the Asian side of Istanbul.

Levanten - We have spotted this Istanbul hostel requesting a receptionist to work six hours a day on a work stay basis.

Route 39 - An Istanbul hostel that regularly take on volunteer staff for breakfast, bar, cleaning and reception work a few hours each day. In exchange is a dorm bed in the staff dorm and breakfast.

Stray Cat - Some of their TripAdvisor reviews suggest this Istanbul hostel employs volunteers on reception.
